Shower Style
So, you got an invitation to a baby or bridal shower for a family member or friend? Sometimes It’s tough to know what to wear to events like this. Our new series, What to Wear to… is here to help you choose the right outfit for the right occasion. We’ve put together three sample looks that are perfect for showers and similar types of parties. Most showers are fairly casual, but it’s still best to show up in something “festive” and parties like these aren’t usually the best place to wear jeans and Converse, or shorts and a tee shirt. Have a look at our mood board for some easy and appropriate looks.
- Love skater skirts? We do, too! We like them even more with a slightly cropped or waist length sweater, a fun necklace, and ankle boots. You could swap out the boots for flats or sandals, too. Some of our favorites right now are sold here.
- A pretty, boho inspired dress like this one is a beautiful choice! You could wear this type of dress to a nice shower or party, and also pair it with a denim jacket and sneakers for hanging out with friends. We are seeing pretty, boho dresses a lot right now. Teens, we love this one. For tween sizes, here’s a favorite.
- Maxi dresses go everywhere – even to showers. We like them layered under a long (or cropped) cardigan sweater. The long necklace mirrors the long line of the dress. We love gladiator sandals with this look. This maxi is a closet staple and a good place to start. Tweens, check out this.
