When we found out Cherry Blossom Girl, Alexa, redesigned her bedroom into a boho teen wonderland, we knew we had to rush over and check it out. We walked in and our jaws dropped. It’s that good.
Here’s the designer, Alexa, watching as the Chronicles Crew drools all over her new room.
Not only is the room beautifully designed, Alexa told us she came up with the unique color scheme and many of the design ideas herself. After seeing her room pictures, you might feel like we did: Alexa could be an interior designer. Let’s check it out.
The magic in this boho bedroom centers around the luxurious bed, fit for a mature teen. Drama starts with the upholstered gray velvet headboard. Alexa added a tiny string of white lights for whimsy. And, look at that bedding! Here you can see Alexa’s creative color choices. She told us she first wanted her room to focus on gray and white. When, she found this gorgeous Urban Outfitters bedding, she decided to add hints of black, earth tones, and unexpected––navy. Then, metallic accents in silver and gold make everything pop. (Yes, don’t be afraid to mix both silver and gold. It works!) One of Alexa’s splurge items was this Anthropologie throw blanket. Kate liked it so much she got one in another color way for her room.
What also makes this boho bed special? Texture.
Notice how all of these pillows are different textures and tones but work together? Alexa and her mom bought the matching shams for her comforter, but then went to a few different stores to collect the different pillows. Don’t be afraid to pile them up.
The bulk of Alexa’s design budget went to her bed, so she found other ways to save. She recycled a dresser and had it painted black. The mirror was old, too. A can of gold spray paint gives it new life. A Target clear lamp and faux orchid balance out the large piece.

This furry chair adds more fun and texture. Above, silver branch shelves hold frames and knick knacks and add more metallic accents.
Alexa keeps her rustic wood night stand simple. Succulents and a few treasured jewelry pieces add color.
Alexa used rustic frames to tie together the metallics and fill up wall space.
Thanks, Alexa for sharing your boho beautiful room!
