Try Summer’s Hottest Keep-Cool Piece: The Romper

romper

It’s not very often we get some of our favorite Cherry Blossom Girls all together in the same city. When it does happen, the girls love to shop and style outfits. We brought our girls to one of the most beautiful places in San Diego, Balboa Park , to showcase four summer-ready teen looks. Today, the girls are showing how cute and versatile the one-piece romper can be.

Have you tried one yet? Not sure if the romper style will work for you? We’ve pulled four of our top picks in different styles. Not all rompers are the same. And some even work for evening.

Miranda

Miranda’s American Eagle romper is perfect for the hottest of days. Simple and minimal, this outfit will keep you cool, but also make sure you’re still looking pulled together and stylish.

Wear a bandeau under layer with this piece. We especially love the halter neckline. Miranda paired it with nude sandals. If you need another layer at night, choose a long, thin cardigan which hangs lower than the shorts or a denim jacket.

Kate

Try Kate’s romper if you love off-the-shoulder styles.

The embroidery and tassels give this romper a boho feel. This piece can work for evening, too. Kate wore this on a recent tropical vacation to a nice dinner out.

Kate chose gladiator sandals for her look. You can also pair this with an espadrille wedge or another strappy heel.

Ella

Ella is our amazing tween model. Not all of our readers are ready for juniors sizes.

Ella loves color and chose this piece herself. She knows what looks fabulous on her. The bright paisley print is summer-ready. This romper has an easy, slouchy feel. We absolutely love it!

Ella’s denim jacket works well with her outfit when the sun goes down.

Aria

romper

Aria’s here to prove some rompers are ready for dressy parties or other events. Try a maxi romper like hers if you want a break from the typical dress.

romper

The maxi romper is chic and elegant. Aria is more comfortable in pants and shorts so this look suits her personality to a tee. She also loves to wear black (and we don’t blame her.) The beautiful maxi flap at the back makes this piece perfect for even a homecoming dance.

Aria is showcasing a dressy look with a high, strappy heel. But if the skirt isn’t too long on you, pair it with flat sandals for everyday wear. A piece like this may require alterations to achieve the right fit on your frame. Most department stores will alter for free or for a very small fee.

More than fashion, summer is about fun and friends. No matter what your wearing, we hope you find plenty of time to spend with the friends you love most.
